Her 4 year old son was diagnosed with autism a month ago and ever since, she wasn't able to sleep well and often expressed wanting to kill herself. She jumped off to her death with her son from the 15th floor of their apartment. The son fortunately survived.

1. [+653, -8] It's so difficult raising a family member with a disability... They can't do anything, not even get treated at the hospital, without the help of their parents. It seems harder on the parents than the kid. May she rest in peace...

2. [+592, -12] She was probably just like any normal mom who wanted a normal family... so upsetting. May she rest in peace.

3. [+478, -88] This country is hell. There needs to be reform. This could never have happened in Germany, Sweden, or anywhere else in Europe.

4. [+59, -2] For the child to have survived from the 15th floor means that the mother probably instinctively used her body to cushion him by holding on to him tight ㅠ.ㅠ

5. [+43, -2] The mother must've instinctively held on to him tight for him to survive that, especially considering it's a 15th floor fall. The kid's life is only going to get more difficult now that he lost his mom..

6. [+38, -1] As someone who worked at a rehab center... I can't say anything bad about that mother's decision. Having a child with a disability is so straining on the family. Any accident that happens means that parent has to stay home and look after the kid and all of the related expenses... I often thought the parents would die earlier than the patients from all of the stress involved.

7. [+38, -3] The mom probably held tight on to her son even as she dropped to her death.. ㅠ

8. [+30, -1] I don't support suicide but I know that the difficulties that mother faced exceeded that of suicide. Mothers of autistic children always say that their only wish in life is to live a day longer than their own kid because it's just that hard.

9. [+30, -2] Maybe she changed her mind mid-drop and held on to her son tight to save him...

10. [+26, -1] I have a friend who has an autistic son and not only are the educational expenses high but there are just no facilities or support from the country at all and it makes it so hard.. ㅠㅠ
